What happens during a chemical peel?
During a chemical peel, a gentle acid is applied to the skin. This acid creates a chemical reaction that helps break down the outermost layers of the skin, removing damaged skin cells and revealing fresher, more vibrant, and youthful-looking skin. We recommend a series of three peels spaced a month or so apart for best results.

Your face will feel tighter and appear more red then usual. Additionally, your skin may feel tacky and have a yellowish orange tinge that subsides in a few hours, due to the retinoic acid in the peel solution. The VI Peel Precision Plus is a self-neutralizing peel, and you should wait at least 4 hours before washing your face that evening.
Everything you need for post-peel skin care is included with your VI Peel Precision Plus treatment. There is a soap-free gentle cleanser for washing your face; scrubs and wash cloths should be avoided while skin is peeling. A hydrating moisturizer is provided to apply twice a day or as often as necessary to relieve dryness and control peeling. The included physical sunblock must be worn daily. It’s best to avoid prolonged sun exposure for 1-week post peel.
VI Peel Precision Plus uses the same proprietary blend of acids as the original VI Peel, with the addition of a hydroquinone-enriched Lighten Booster and a fast-acting Brighten Booster. This Dual Booster System suppresses pigment and promotes rapid cell turnover for improved skin tone.
