Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR)

We provide a range of treatments designed to resurface and tighten the skin, tackling the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving the texture and tone of worn-out complexions. Among our newest of these treatments is EndyMed Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR). This powerful treatment uses state-of-the-art technology to stimulate the skin's natural repair process: radiofrequency (RF) sensors generate pulses of RF energy that actually push the heat to deeper layers of the skin. The result is simultaneous epidermal (overlying outer layer of the skin) resurfacing for the improvement of skin texture together with volumetric heating of the dermis (middle layer of skin) for the promotion of collagen growth and remodeling. The major benefit of this combination is the reduction of skin laxity and wrinkles.

About Fractional Skin Resurfacing FSR

Consultation

As with all our treatments, a consultation with us at Adore Aesthetix is always recommended. Whilst EndyMed FSR can be used to treat a whole host of skin conditions, such as fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, dull complexions, scars, and stretch marks, it is imperative we evaluate your skin condition to determine if EndyMed FSR is the right treatment for you. During your consultation, we will be able to guide you through the type of results to expect and provide advice for pre and post-treatment skin care, addressing any concerns you may have.

Depending on your specific needs, the EndyMed FSR treatment can be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures to deliver a natural boost to the skin and rejuvenate it from the deepest layer out. EndyMed FSR can generate just the right level of heat to suit your individual skin type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since the skin manifests differently in the various layers of the skin, each layer requires a different modality to accomplish the most effective treatment. Fractional ablation is applied to the skin for a smoother, brighter skin surface and reduction of hyperpigmentation. Simultaneously, volumetric deep dermal heating is applied to the collagen fibers causing immediate and long-term skin tightening and collagen stimulation. This combined treatment effectively treats all skin layers for an optimal result.

Prior to the EndyMed 3DEEP FSR procedure, we will numb the skin using an anesthetic cream. The skin will feel hot as the FSR handpiece is used to create an energy pulse on the skin. Each pulse will last for less than a second and will create tiny controlled micro ablations in the epidermis while uniform dermal heating takes place. The pulses are repeated to provide complete coverage of the treatment area. The skin will feel hot and red for an hour or so after the procedure. A recovery serum will be applied at this stage to help soothe and calm the skin.

Over the next few days, when the redness and swelling begin to fade, the “grid” marks (extremely tiny dots) will become noticeable. They will gradually turn to a faint brownish color. The skin may feel tight and itchy and also undergo a little crusting and flaking which is completely normal and generally resolves within 5 to 7 days. Makeup may be applied during this recovery phase.

You will continue to see improvements in your skin as your body’s natural repair process creates more collagen. Most patients see noticeable results after 4-8 weeks.

Endymed FSR has an excellent safety profile; slight redness in the treatment area followed by subtle “grid” marks is common post-procedure with minimal downtime of a few days.

A course of treatments normally consists of 3 to 5 sessions spaced  4 to 6 weeks apart. The number of treatments required, however, will depend on the nature and severity of the problem. We will consult with you to customize a treatment regimen to deliver optimal results.
